Joe Lynn Turner Hospitalized After Suffering Heart Attack

Joe Lynn Turner Hospitalized

One of my favorite singers of all time, former Rainbow and Deep Purple singer Joe Lynn Turner has been hospitalized following a heart attack in Belarus.

Russian website first broke the news on Saturday saying that 66-year-old Turner was being treated in a Minsk emergency hospital for a “myocardial infarction” – more commonly known as a heart attack.

The report reads: “Yesterday, a patient with myocardial infarction entered the hospital, he was treated with all possible modern methods, and now his condition is stable.”

Turner’s friend and fellow ex-Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnet later confirmed the news, writing on Facebook: “My friend Joe was hospitalised in Minsk with a heart issue last night and myself, Beth-Ami and the rest of the Graham Bonnet Band wish him a complete and speedy recovery. We love you, Joe.”

There has been no official statement from Turner’s representatives, however numerous rock stars have been wishing him a speedy recovery on Twitter.

Current Rainbow singer Ronnie Romero said: “Wishing all the best and a speed recovery to one of my heroes, Mr. @joelynnturner”

Jeff Scott Soto said: “Wishing my buddy #JoeLynnTurner a speedy recovery, love ya bro!!”

Derek Sherinian wrote: “Wishing my old friend @joelynnturner a speedy recovery!”
